As my daughter is entering that tween phase of life where everything is CHANGING, we have found a FABULOUS series of books just for her to help understand and cope with this phase.
Nancy Rue has a series of books that deal with all these pre-teen issues. We first found her through the Body book which helps explain what in the world is going on. It turns out there are tons more books that have the quizzes and charts that girls love. The tone of these books make the girls feel they are hanging out with a friend. The books are all from a Christian perspective too!
I highly recommend these books for steering your girls through this phase of life.
Check them out…. Nancy Rue

Hey Elaina!
Just take the plunge with the parents and tell them what’s going on with you. I know you’ll feel weird to bring it up and it will be uncomfortable at first. But once you get past that initial OMG moment, you will feel relieved. Definitely, tell your folks that you would like this book (or one like it) or see if they have it in the library at school.
DON’T feel like you have to go through this all on your own. It will probably freak your mom out a little bit because we don’t like to be faced with the fact that our little girls are growing up. But that’s OK. Families are supposed to freak out together… that’s what makes us strong.
Good luck & be brave, girl! Let me know how it goes.
